Two more fights added to June’s ‘UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City’
Wednesday night during the newest episode of UFC Tonight, two major fights were announced.
The first announced fight was BJ Penn vs. Dennis Siver at featherweight, and the second being Tim Boetsch vs. Johny Hendricks.
Now, it has also been announced that Felice Herrig vs. Justine Kish, and Josh Stansbury vs. Jeremy Kimball, have been added to the event, with the first taking place in the women’s strawweight division, and the latter taking place in the light heavyweight division.
Herrig is currently in the midst of a 2-fight win streak that saw her bounce back from a loss to Paige VanZant by picking up a 1st round submission win over Kailin Curran before then picking up a unanimous decision win over Alexa Grasso at ‘UFC Fight Night: Zombie vs. Bermudez’. Her opponent, Justine Kish, currently is in the midst of a 2-fight win streak in the UFC following a brief stint on The Ultimate Fighter in which she was forced out of the tournament due to a knee injury and found herself unable to compete in the season. She then made her UFC debut in 2016, where she picked up a unanimous decision win over Nina Ansaroff at UFC 195. She then built on the win as she picked up a unanimous decision win over Ashley Yoder at ‘UFC Fight Night: Albany’ in a catchweight bout after missing weight by 1.5 pounds.
In the second bout, Josh Stansbury will be looking to bounce back from a unanimous decision win over Devin Clark in December, which saw him drop a unanimous decision after picking up a majority decision in his UFC debut earlier in the year. His opponent, Jeremy Kimball, recently made his UFC debut, where he was stopped in the very first round due to strikes.
