Francis Ngannou and Anthony Joshua - Joshua vs. Ngannou

The main event takes place today, Friday, March 8th from the Freedom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It will feature Francis Ngannou vs. Anthony Joshua.

The former UFC heavyweight champion, Ngannou, will attempt to get his first win in the ring following his split decision loss to Tyson Fury last October.

Joshua (27-3 with 24 KO’s) has won his last three straight bouts after losing back-to-back fights to Oleksandr Usyk.

As for fight predictions, Amir Khan, the former unified light-welterweight world champion, weighed in telling ‘The Sun’:

“If (Joshua) gets the knockout or outboxes Ngannou and makes it look so easy, I think it will be a big statement in the world of boxing, especially the heavyweight division.”

“Joshua’s gonna know now how hard he gave a fight to Fury. So I’m sure he’s going to be on his A-game. He’s not going to make the same mistakes and he’s going to train very hard for this fight.”

Also weighing in was heavyweight contender, Zhilei Zhang:

“It’s Joshua’s fight to lose. The key will be his defence in this fight, but Joshua has enough experience to outbox Ngannou. It will be a good fight. They are both strong.”
