Pros react to Francis Ngannou’s crushing knockout of Alistair Overeem
Former Strikeforce and Dream heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem took on surging division contender Francis Ngannou in the co-main event of tonight’s UFC 218 fight card in Detroit.
As expected with two heavyweight knockout artists in the cage, the fight did not last long as “The Predator” was able to catch “The Demolition Man” with a crushing left hook that sent Overeem crashing to the canvas.
The bout was immediately called off by the referee and it is now clear that Francis Ngannou is the number one contender for Stipe Miocic’s heavyweight strap.
Here is how the pros reacted to Francis Ngannou’s brutal knockout of Alistair Overeem:

Knowing @stipemiocicufc he’s licking his chops. For as dominant as Francis has looked, the chance to stop him intrigues a guy like Miocic. When I left Cleveland the last Stipe told me was, u can put King Kong out there and he couldn’t beat me.
