Frank Mir answers whether or not he will retire following Mark Hunt loss
This past weekend at UFC Brisbane, Frank Mir suffered a KO loss at the hands of Mark Hunt, who picked up yet another walk-off KO win.
At 36 years old, and with 15 years as a professional fighter, many are wondering if this is it for Mir. Despite that, the former heavyweight champion believes his time isn’t over.
He spoke to MMAFighting:
“I didn’t have anything to prove to begin with to anybody else,” Mir said. “I didn’t start out doing this because I wanted to win awards or titles. I like martial arts, I like training, I like the lifestyle. I want to constantly get better. Why not just keep fighting? Until I get told that I can’t anymore, then I’ll move on.”
With Mir now being on a 2-fight losing streak, who would you like to see the former champ fight when he’s ready to step into the Octagon again?
