MMA Community reacts to Frankie Edgar vs. Cub Swanson 2
A featherweight rematch between perennial division contenders Frankie Edgar and Cub Swanson served as the co-headliner of tonight’s UFC Fight Night 128 event in Atlantic City.
The former UFC lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar, won the first meeting with Swanson in November of 2014 via fifth-round submission (neck crank).
This time around proved to be no different as Frankie Edgar was once again able to frustrate Cub Swanson on route to a unanimous decision victory, 30-27 on all three judges scorecards.
Here is how the MMA Community reacted to tonight’s UFC Atlantic City co-main event result:

Cub Swanson hasn't finished a fight since 2013. Crazy for someone who was once dubbed a knockout artist. Don't think he's going to land a miracle shot in the final minute of this fight.

That was not the best fight, but Frankie Edgar is an MMA treasure. I didn't support the quick turnaround, but for him to come back 49 days later from Ortega KO and win is wild. This man is approaching 7 hours of octagon time. Just got his 17th UFC win. #UFCAC

Here's the thing about that fight — Frankie Edgar was right back on the horse after a knockout loss. He was aggressive and pushed the pace, never backed down in the exchanges. #UFCAC

With the fight tonight, Frankie Edgar is now part of the top 22 fighters with the most #UFC bouts (fighters with 24 or more UFC bouts).
He is the only fighter in that group to have under 7 losses in the UFC. (6)

Frankie Edgar takes a unanimous decision over Cub Swanson, 49 days after the first KO of his career, and in the midst of dealing with the loss of his father and grandfather. If it ends up he takes a break and fights winner of Max/Ortega in July, I'm cool with that.

That’s Martial Arts. That’s the Beauty of Combat.
Thank you @CubSwanson and thank you @FrankieEdgar. Sincerely.@ufc @danawhite @joerogan— Robin Black (@robinblackmma) April 22, 2018
Did Cub think that was a 5 round fight or something? He did next to nothing.

That was underwhelming. #UFCAC

Edgar by decision is a winner. I'm sure a lot of you guys had that as well.
