Former UFC heavyweight Greg Hardy is set to make his bare-knuckle boxing debut at BKFC KnuckleMania 3. Bare Knuckle FC KnuckleMania 3 takes place on Friday, February 17th at the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, NM.

Greg Hardy made the most of his last-minute opportunity against Hasim Rahman Jr. Rahman was expected to take on MMA legend Vitor Belfort in a boxing match this past weekend inside Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Belfort was forced to pull out of the bout after testing positive for COVID-19. Hardy stepped up as a replacement opponent and he had a significant size advantage, weighing 94 pounds heavier than Rahman.

Greg Hardy and Hasim Rahman Jr. went face-to-face ahead of their boxing match on Saturday. Hardy and Rahman Jr. are set to meet on KSI’s Misfits 003 card in Austin, Texas. Originally, Rahman Jr. was supposed to headline the event against Vitor Belfort but the former UFC fighter was forced out of the matchup after testing positive for COVID-19. Another former UFC fighter then stepped in as Hardy took the fight on less than a week’s notice.

Greg Hardy will have his second pro boxing fight on Saturday. Misfits boxing – which is owned by YouTuber KSI – was having its third event on Saturday in Austin, Texas. The main event of the card was supposed to see Vitor Belfort take on Hasim Rahman Jr. at heavyweight. Yet, Belfort had to pull out of the fight after he tested positive for COVID-19, and now according to the promotion, Hardy – the former UFC heavyweight fighter – has replaced Belfort.

At the age of 33, Greg Hardy has already had a pretty eventful career in mixed martial arts with a 7-5 (1) record to his name. The former NFL star was always viewed as something of a controversial figure in the sport but now that he’s been released by the UFC, he’s ready to explore some new options – including a run in bare-knuckle boxing with BKFC.

Greg Hardy has signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Hardy fought out his UFC contract at UFC 272 against Serghei Spivac which he lost by first-round TKO. After being let go, Hardy said he was eager to test free agency and has even signed on to make his pro boxing debut in October, but has also inked a deal with BKFC which promotional President David Feldman is excited for.

Former UFC fighter Greg Hardy looks set to make his professional boxing debut later this year following his release from the UFC. While he wasn’t exactly a fan favourite upon entering the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Hardy did manage to have some early success following his appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series. Alas, in the years following, the 33-year-old continued to suffer a string of defeats with losses to Marcin Tybura, Tai Tuivasa and Sergey Spivak marking the end of his tenure with the promotion.

Hardy spent six seasons in the NFL playing 75 games and recording 40 sacks along with 239 tackles. He was a Pro Bowler in 2013 and knows the NFL better than most, so when he saw Brown run off the field mid-game, he wasn’t one of the people saying Brown was in the wrong and can’t do that. Instead, he believes ‘AB’ can do whatever he wants.

Hardy rocked Tuivasa with punches and his legs started to go, but Hardy made a mistake and rushed in with his chin exposed and Tuivasa caught him with a massive counter shot and knocked him out. It was the third straight win for Tuivasa by knockout following wins over Harry Hunsucker and Stefan Struve in his last two fights. As for Hardy, this was his second straight knockout defeat after he was stopped by Marcin Tybura his last time out.
