The co-main event of the evening was expected to showcase another key welterweight battle in the form of Gunnar Nelson vs. Neil Magny.
Unfortunately for fight fans, “Gunni” has apparently suffered a bad knee injury which will require surgery and has thus been pulled from the UFC Liverpool fight card, this according to a report from TheMMATakeover.
Farah Hannoun would later confirm the aforementioned report.

No replacement opponent has been named for Gunnar Nelson at this time, but the hope is to keep Neil Magny on the May 27 fight card.
