Henry Cejudo calls out Brandon Moreno for UFC 306 grudge match at The Sphere
UFC star Henry Cejudo wants to square off with Brandon Moreno in a grudge match at UFC 306 later this year.
While Cejudo has impressed during his return to the Octagon, he has yet to get a win on the board. He has suffered close losses to Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili, putting a dent in his bantamweight title hopes. Despite this, ‘Triple C’ has made it crystal clear that he has no plans to retire again just yet.
As for Brandon Moreno, he’s coming off the back of a disappointing loss to Brandon Royval this past weekend. A win could’ve vaulted him back into championship contention at flyweight but instead, we’re left to wonder what’s next for him.

If Cejudo gets his way, the two will finally settle a grudge that he claims goes all the way back to 2016.
Henry Cejudo calls out Brandon Moreno to fight at #UFC306 at the Sphere in Las Vegas in September.
He says they have a feud that dates back to TUF 24 back in 2016. Henry trained with Brandon and said he treated him like family, and says Brandon went against his word by training… pic.twitter.com/VmsAljCxoC

Cejudo wants Moreno
“What fight would be better than Triple C vs Brandon Moreno, the Mexican-American vs the true Mexican, and they come together, and they do a five round showdown. At the Sphere, in Las Vegas, for Mexican Independence Day.
“I like it. I think [if] there’s any way we should settle it, enough talking, enough cringing, enough antics, and enough all of that. The only way to get it on, Brandon Moreno, is I accept your challenge. Let’s do it, Mexican Independence Day. What you got? You gonna sign that contract? Are you a Mexican, or a Mexican’t?”
Regardless of his motivation, nobody can deny that this would be one hell of a fight to put on at UFC’s inaugural Sphere event.
