Holly Holm turns down major studio movie to avoid making the ‘same mistakes that somebody else made’
Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm has apparently been getting a lot of calls for business opportunities outside of the Octagon.
TMZ reports that Holm was offered a part in “a major studio movie,” but declined as the time interfered with her upcoming fight against Valentina Shevchenko at UFC on FOX 20 in July.
TMZ spoke with Holm’s rep, Lenny Fresquez, who said Holm has been getting “an unbelievable amount of calls” from movie and tv producers. Fresquez stated that Holm recently hired the APA agency to handle all the non-fight related business for her, while her heart remains set on fighting.
“She’s focused on fighting,” Fresquez said. “We don’t want to make the same mistakes that somebody else made,” in which Fresquez is all more than likely referring to former champion Ronda Rousey.
