Kayla Harrison laughs off Cris Cyborg training with Holly Holm: “Go home already, nobody cares”

The UFC’s newest signing Kayla Harrison is ready to move on from Cris Cyborg.

The former PFL tournament winner is currently set to make her promotional debut in April. At the historic UFC 300 milestone event, Kayla Harrison will face former women’s bantamweight champion, Holly Holm. ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ is coming off a no-contest with Mayra Bueno Silva last summer, and is hoping to earn another title shot.

Luckily, Holly Holm has some assistance in camp in the form of Cris Cyborg. The current Bellator women’s featherweight champion has been training with the former UFC titleholder at Jackson Wink in New Mexico for the last few months. Cyborg’s decision to train with Holm is largely aided by her heated rivalry with Kayla Harrison.

The two stars were in talks to fight both in the PFL, and Bellator. Despite that, a fight between Kayla Harrison and Cris Cyborg never came together. Given that the Judoka is now a member of the UFC, it seems that they never well clash. Well, unless Dana White takes notice of Cyborg’s previous interest in re-joining the company.

Earlier today at the UFC 300 fan Q&A, Kayla Harrison was asked about Cris Cyborg’s decision to train with Holly Holm. There, the former PFL star ripped into the Brazilian, stating that she likes to stir things up. However, Harrison believes that most fans don’t really care too much about Cyborg’s antics.

“Who?” Kayla Harrison responded to a question about Cris Cyborg training with Holly Holm at the UFC 300 press conference earlier today. “Come on, she just loves to stir the f*cking pot, doesn’t she? Just go home already, nobody cares.”

While Kayla Harrison isn’t a fan of Cris Cyborg, the same cannot be said of Holly Holm. Later in the UFC 300 fan Q&A, the Judoka paid respect to ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’, calling her a legend. With that in mind, Harrison hopes to use Holm as a stepping stone in April.

“Of course, I don’t use the word ‘legend’ lightly but I think Holly is a legend in the sport. She’s been in the top ten for years now, and been a former champ. So I didn’t come over here just to see how I can do and fight amongst everyone. I’m here to come over and win a UFC title and finish my career on top. Holly’s a good start to that.”
