UFC welterweight Jack Della Maddalena has reiterated his desire to fight and defeat Shavkat Rakhmonov later this year. Earlier this month, Jack Della Maddalena secured the biggest win of his career. He beat and finished Gilbert Burns, doing so with a broken arm, to establish himself as a top contender in the welterweight division. In the immediate aftermath, he made it known that he’d be interested in taking on the seemingly unstoppable Shavkat Rakhmonov.

It has been revealed that Jack Della Maddalena broke his arm during UFC 299 fight with Gilbert Burns. UFC 299 took place this past weekend and saw Jack Della Maddalena (17-2 MMA) in a welterweight bout with Gilbert Burns (22-7 MMA). The result was a KO victory at 3:43 of Round 3 for the Aussie (see that here).

Gilbert Burns has issued a statement following his UFC 299 third-round knockout loss to Jack Della Maddalena. Burns was taking on the up-and-comer in his first fight since losing a decision to Belal Muhammad last May. The Brazilian had success early on as he was able to land some good strikes, but controlled Della Maddalena.

Jack Della Maddalena admits that getting past Kevin Holland was no easy task. Maddalena and Holland shared the Octagon inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada in the co-main event of Noche UFC. The bout was tough to score, as both men had success in the standup but were equally as effective with their defense. Ultimately, this one went the distance and ended in a split decision. Jack Della Maddalena barely managed to keep his winning streak intact at UFC Vegas 77. Maddalena shared the Octagon with Bassil Hafez. Jack Della Maddalena was supposed to compete on the UFC 290 card, but after two opponents couldn’t compete, Maddalena was moved to UFC Vegas 77. His fight with Hafez went the distance and the judges were split on the result. One judge scored the fight 29-28 in favor of Hafez. That score total was overruled by the two other judges who scored the bout 29-28 for Maddalena, who won via split decision.
