Jack Hermansson vs. Kevin Holland betting odds released

The opening betting odds have been released for the upcoming UFC Vegas 16 middleweight main event between Jack Hermansson and Kevin Holland. Hermansson was originally tabbed to fight Darren Till but the fight was scratched after Till got injured. Fortunately, Holland was able to step up and take the fight on short notice. It’s incredibly the fifth fight for Holland since May 2020, when the UFC re-started after a two-month hiatus due to COVID-19. As for Hermansson, he will look to build on a submission win over Kelvin Gastelum in his last outing on Fight Island in July.

Hermansson was originally scheduled to fight Darren Till on December 5 at a UFC Fight Night event in Las Vegas, but Till withdrew due to injury and was replaced by Holland. Hermansson is a top-five fighter but decided to accept the fight against an unranked opponent. On paper, this looks like a great fight for the fans even if Holland isn’t ranked just because of what could happen if the fight between these two hits the ground.

Hermansson was set to fight Darren Till in the main event of a UFC Fight Night card on December 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada, but Till was forced to withdraw due to an injury. Fortunately, the UFC was able to secure an opponent on short notice for Hermansson as Holland stepped up and took the fight. It’s not a top-10 ranked opponent like Hermansson was hoping to get, but it’s still a quality fight between two talented middleweights.

UFC middleweight Darren Till responded to Mike Perry’s claims that he “pussied out” of his upcoming fight against Jack Hermansson. Till was set to fight Hermansson in the main event of the upcoming UFC Fight Night card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 5. With both Till and Hermansson looking to prove they are worthy of a title fight against UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, this was a very important fight at 185lbs. Unfortunately, Till announced he had to withdraw from the bout this week. Kevin Holland will fight Hermansson now.

Shortly after Till lost to Robert Whittaker it was announced he would be taking on Hermansson in December barring his knee was healed. Now, according to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, the Englishman has been forced out of the fight with an injury. However, rising contender, Kevin Holland has agreed to step up on short notice to fight Hermansson.

Unfortunately for The Ultimate Fighter Season 17 winner, things did not go as planned in his bout with ‘The Joker’ this evening. After Hermansson shot in for a takedown, Gastelum was able to hit a beautiful reversal that put the powerful Swede on his back. However, Hermansson quickly rolled for a heel hook submission and was able to secure the hold. After a quick crank, Kelvin Gastelum had no choice but to tapout.

Middleweight contender Jack Hermansson says the UFC still wants him to fight Chris Weidman after their fight for UFC Oklahoma City was canceled. Hermansson was set to fight Weidman in the main event of the Oklahoma City card that was eventually canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the bigger problem is that Hermansson is from Europe and there are travel restrictions right now to get him to the United States. The UFC was already looking at alternate opponents for Weidman, including matchups against Yoel Romero and Edmen Shahbazyan.

UFC Oklahoma City takes place Saturday, May 2 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. The event marks the third time the UFC has visited Oklahoma City, the last event taking place in 2017. The UFC has not officially announced the headling fight. However, former UFC champion Chris Weidman is expected to take on top contender Jack Hermansson in a middleweight battle in the main event.

Hermansson has been connected to a matchup against Darren Till, but UFC president Dana White recently said in an interview that Till will likely be booked against another top contender instead. That leaves Hermansson without a dance partner, and so it makes sense that he’s calling out Gastelum, who is also looking for his next opponent.
