James Krause knew he had to compete on Fight Island or he wouldn’t fight again for the rest of the year. Krause stepped up on just two weeks’ notice to fight Claudio Silva at UFC Fight Island 6. It was a fight he knew was a good stylistic matchup for him and he ended up edging out a clear-cut decision win.

UFC veteran James Krause (28-8 MMA) claims Joaquin Buckley is “a clown” and says that the viral KO star “can get it, too.” Krause, who has recently made a living off of short-notice fights, did so once again this evening when he squared off with Claudio Silva in a welterweight contest. The move proved to be a good decision as James went on to win the contest by unanimous decision.

James Krause is taking another short-notice fight. At UFC 247, Krause stepped up to fight Trevin Giles at middleweight on 24 hours notice. Even though he took the fight on very short notice he had a ton of success and lost a very controversial decision.

UFC welterweight James Krause will step up on short notice when he takes on veteran Claudio Silva at an upcoming UFC Fight Island event. Silva was set to take on Muslim Salikhov, but the fight is off after Salikhov was forced to withdraw from the event. In his place will step in Krause, who has accepted the fight on just 13 days’ notice. MMAFighting.com was the first to report the news of the fight and Krause later confirmed the bout in a post on his Instagram page. Krause vs. Silva will take place on the prelims of the October 17 Korean Zombie vs. Brian Ortega card in Abu Dhabi.

James Krause isn’t a fan of Diego Sanchez’s head coach, Joshua Fabia. Sanchez recently left his entire team and the past couple of fights has only had Fabia in his corner. In his UFC 253 fight, he added Stephan Bonnar, yet it didn’t help as he was dominated by Jake Matthews to a decision loss.

Diego Sanchez’s choice to continue working with controversial coach Joshua Fabia has been a hot button issue of late. One of the latest fighters to chime in on the topic is UFC welterweight James Krause, who would love to test himself against Sanchez in the Octagon. “There’s a couple of different routes I could go,” Krause told MMA Junkie with regards to his next fight. “I feel like the two routes are like fighting some legends of this sport. A couple of names come to mind like Diego Sanchez, Carlos Condit. I have a thing for Diego for some reason. I can’t stand his coach (Joshua Fabia). I feel like they’re selling wolf tickets to the sport of MMA, to the fans of MMA.

James Krause had a crazy weekend in Houston, to say the least. The UFC welterweight arrived in Houston on Wednesday to corner Youssef Zalal but on Friday that all changed. He found out Antonio Arroyo was out of his middleweight bout just after weigh-ins and told his manager he would take the fight.

UFC welterweight James Krause has issued a statement following a short-notice split decision loss to Trevin Giles on the UFC 247 undercard. Krause filled in on less than 24 hours notice when Antonio Arroyo was removed from the card due to cramping. Krause was at the event cornering his teammate Youssef Zalal and decided to step up and take the fight with Giles despite it being at middleweight, a weight class above where Krause normally competes at.

UFC welterweight James Krause has decided to step up on 24 hours notice to fight Trevin Giles in a middleweight bout on the UFC 247 undercard. Giles was supposed to fight Antonio Arroyo on the preliminary card for UFC 247. Arroyo successfully made weight on the scale but afterwards was transported to a hospital after suffering a brutal weight cut, temporarily leaving Giles without an opponent. That is until Krause decided to step up on short notice to save the fight.

UFC welterweight James Krause recently did an AMA on Reddit and a fan asked him who he believes is the most annoying fighter in MMA. Krause said it’s Luke Rockhold. MMA fighters often take to Reddit to do an AMA (‘Ask Me Anything’) with fans, who are able to communicate directly with some of the best fighters in the sport. Krause was a guest on the MMA subreddit on Thursday and answered a number of fan questions, including one on who he thinks is the most annoying fighter in MMA.
