Jon Jones, his barber, and Daniel Cormier trade barbs on Twitter
It’s no secret that former UFC light heavyweight kingpin Jon Jones and reigning light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier don’t exactly get along. Back in 2014, Jones and Cormier appeared onstage together at the UFC 178 media day. While the pair were simply supposed to have a staredown, the two men engaged in a now infamous brawl which saw UFC exec Dave Sholler thrown through the backdrop. Fast forward nearly four years and the two men’s rivalry is as strong as ever.
While the pair have been slated to step into the Octagon together on numerous occasions, they have only actually fought once, at UFC 182 in January, where Jones handed Cormier the first loss of his professional career, retaining the light heavyweight belt in the process.
Now, the pair’s beef has reached an all-time-high as they traded shots on Twitter, with Jones barber even getting involved:

This of course comes after Cormier called for Jones to accept a July rematch with him on UFC Tonight recently, where he proclaimed:
“Take the fight with me, Jon Jones,” Cormier said. “There are no tune-up fights in the UFC. Try to get your title back. Come meet your boy ‘DC,’ come get this money. Let’s get money together and give the people in Anaheim a show. No tune-up for Jon Jones, he gets to come and get beat by me this time. We’re fighting right now or he doesn’t get to fight me. It’s my rules, I’m the champ now.”
“The person that we saw against Ovince Saint Preux is the new, USADA-regulated Jon Jones,” Cormier said. “He’s always going to look like that. So, yes, I will beat him up on July 29th.”
