Jon Jones blasts Daniel Cormier for his “Excuse of the weak”
Every few weeks UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and UFC pound for pound kingpin Jon Jones engage in a heated Twitter feud.
While the pair were initially slated to fight for the UFC light heavyweight championship on April 23rd in the main event of UFC 197, a leg injury forced Cormier out of the bout. The UFC ultimately selected Ovince Saint Preux as a late fill-in opponent for Jones, and made the bout an interim light heavyweight title fight.
Of course Jones and Cormier continued to engage in Twitter feuds. Recently, Jones Tweeted Cormier about a fight at UFC 200. Which then sparked a Twitter feud between the two. Cormier then blamed his lack of trash talk on still being under the influence of anesthesia.
That prompted Jones to Tweet the following:
Excuse of the weak: Jon Jones verbally slayed me the other day because I was still on anesthesia, once again I wasn't thinking straight.
