‘Bones’ Jones is currently sorting out his suspension with USADA after failing a drug test just prior to his scheduled title unification rematch with longtime foe Daniel Cormier at UFC 200. So far, there is no word on when fans can expect to see Jones back in the Octagon.
UFC 205 is filling up fast with New Yorkers making up most of the card. Long Islanders Chris Weidman and Al Iaquinta are both scheduled to take part in the historic event, which will be the UFC’s first at Madison Square Garden.
Weidman is set to face Yoel Romero while Iaquinta will take on Thiago Alves in a lightweight contest. Weidman’s training partner and fellow New Yorker Gian Villante is fighting Marcos Rogerio de Lima and Upstate native Rashad Evans has agreed to a middleweight contest with Tim Kennedy.
‘Bones’ Jones, 28, is facing a two year suspension following two failed drug tests leading into his scheduled UFC 200 fight with Cormier, but has recently posted a video on his Instagram page saying he could be back sooner than that.
