Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones is no stranger to fan criticism.

Jones has dealt with a ton of backlash from fans and media in the past for personal issues and events that occurred outside of the octagon, and most recently hateful messages stemming from his failed drug test at UFC 200 this past July.

On Friday night in Las Vegas, fellow UFC superstar Ronda Rousey suffered a shocking 48-second TKO loss to current 135-pound women’s champion Amanda Nunes in the main event of UFC 207 and some people were quick to attack “Rowdy” while she was down.

“Bones” recently took to Twitter when he delivered a message to the Haters who are kicking Rousey while she deals with this tough loss:

“To all the people who loves to kick a person when they’re down.” – Jon Jones

Jon Jones also weighed in on Ronda Rousey’s fighting future. The former 205-pound kingpin believes that Rousey should in fact continue fighting and that her next move could very well determine her legacy.

“My advice to Ronda would be to pick yourself up and try again.” – Jon Jones

“I believe Rousey will be a champion for the rest of her life, even if she never wins another fight” – Jon Jones

“I think it’s important for Ronda to show her fans how great she truly is by displaying her courage and giving it another try.” – Jon Jones

“What she does next will truly determine her legacy. I really hope she chooses to be a unbroken. Her story doesn’t have to be over here.” – Jon Jones

Jon Jones went on to add the he believes Ronda Rousey could still defeat 90% of the UFC women’s bantamweight division.

“I also still believe she beats 90% of the division. Lots of ass kicking still to be done, lots of money to be made.” – Jon Jones

Good on Jon Jones for sticking up for Ronda Rousey and sending her some positive messages in this difficult time.
