Jorge Masvidal is open to becoming a pro wrestler for the WWE. Masvidal announced his retirement from MMA back in April following a decision loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287. It was his fourth straight defeat and ‘Gamebred’ said he felt like he could no longer compete at the highest level.

Brendan Schaub could be making a comeback. Schaub retired from MMA back in 2015 after he went 10-5 as a pro but ended his career on a two-fight losing skid. His last fight was a TKO loss to Travis Browne at UFC 181 in December 2014 and he decided to walk away from the sport.

Jorge Masvidal has taken aim at Conor McGregor following UFC 291. In the main event of UFC 291, Justin Gaethje scored a head-kick KO win over Dustin Poirier in the second round to become the new BMF champion. After the result, McGregor took to social media to claim he would KO Gaethje with one shot and stated that he was the real BMF, not Gaethje or Poirier.

Ahead of the fight, Jorge Masvidal, who won the title back in 2019, has said he will be awarding the winner with the title.

Jorge Masvidal (35-17 MMA) and Ben Askren (19-2 MMA) met in the Octagon in July of 2019 at UFC 239. The result was a knockout victory for Masvidal at 0:05 of Round 1. It was to be the fastest KO in UFC history.

Masvidal (35-17 MMA) retired from the UFC in April of this year.  The 38-year-olds last fight in the Octagon was against Gilbert Burns at UFC 287. It was to be ‘Gamebred’s’ 4th loss in a row.

Following his loss to Gilbert Burns in Miami, the former title challenger announced his retirement. However, Jorge Masvidal has routinely teased that he could return to fighting, but in the boxing ring instead.

Although many assumed it was a joke, Dana White confirmed they are serious and he is hopeful he can get the fight done.

In that outing, Covington dominated in the battle of friends-turned-foes, as he won by unanimous decision. However, the fight itself did nothing to stop the trash-talking between the two. In the following weeks, Masvidal and Covington continued to throw verbal shots at one another.
