Jose Aldo randomly tested by USADA
While Jose Aldo currently doesn’t have a fight booked, that didn’t stop the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency from randomly drug testing the former champ this morning.
Since his UFC 194 KO loss to Conor McGregor, Aldo has campaigned for an immediate rematch, telling the UFC that he will not accept any fight other than a rematch with McGregor regardless of whether or not it’s for the featherweight championship.
UFC President Dana White didn’t really seem to go for that, pointing out that the first time Aldo was booked to fight McGregor he withdrew from the fight, and when the fight did happen he lost in 13 seconds.
McGregor of course has been booked to challenge Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC lightweight championship at UFC 196 on March 5th. This has left much question as to whether or not McGregor will fight Aldo or Frankie Edgar at UFC 200.
Aldo posted about the random drug test on social media.
Good morning. There, guys, while the rematch or the dispute of belt’s not enough, I’m being tested by the used, one more today to account, here you can come every day to test me, the only thing that will find the exam’s Acai and tambaqui there of manaus That, that’s what gives me strength.
