Jose Aldo vs. Max Holloway official for June
We now have a date for Jose Aldo vs. Max Holloway following UFC President Dana White confirming that a fight between Jose Aldo and Max Holloway for the undisputed featherweight title had been made official. Unfortunately, White couldn’t remember the date for the fight, and fight fans were left to speculate as to which event the fight would take place at.
Now, a report from Combate has emerged which points to June 3rd being the date for the bout, at UFC 212.
The fight will be an extremely pivotal one for the featherweight division, and will either see Jose Aldo defend the featherweight title for the first time since being promoted to the undisputed champ after losing the belt to Conor McGregor at UFC 194, or Max Holloway capture the undisputed featherweight championship after winning the interim belt in December.
Holloway will be entering into the bout on a 10-fight win streak that has seen the 24 year old Hawaiian go undefeated for 2 years. Aldo on the other hand will be entering into the bout on a win, which returned him to the win column after his UFC 193 loss to Conor McGregor.
