Jose Aldo was not in the mood when asked about Conor McGregor’s suggestion for a boxing match with him. Aldo was in action this weekend, taking on familiar foe Jeremy Stephens in a boxing match. The bout was featured on the main card of Gamebred Boxing 4. The bout went six rounds and ended in a majority draw. Aldo made it clear that he was not happy with the decision.

Aldo (31-8 MMA) is set to return to action this evening on the main card of Gamebred Boxing 4. The former UFC featherweight champion will be squaring off with Jeremy Stephens (29-21 MMA) in a rematch of their UFC on FOX 30 fight from July of 2018. ‘The King of Rio’ won that MMA contest via first-round TKO.

The boxing event is set to feature the likes of International Boxing Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr., UFC Hall of Fame inductee Jose Aldo, Vitor Belfort, and many more notable names. Gamebred Boxing has announced the full card for its fourth show, which will be taking place inside the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this Saturday night (April 1).

Former UFC champion Jose Aldo is claiming a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather is in the works. Jose Aldo (31-8 MMA) retired from the UFC in September of 2022 after a loss to Merab Dvalishvili (15-4 MMA) at UFC 278. The Brazilian had an illustrious career with the promotion, winning 18 straight fights and reigned with the UFC featherweight belt through a record of seven title defenses.

Aldo had a legendary run under the Zuffa banner through UFC and WEC, but he decided it was time to step away from MMA competition and move on to other ventures such as boxing. White sent a heartwarming text message to Aldo. It ultimately led to a hospital visit after Aldo’s pregnant wife had high blood pressure. She got emotional from the text.

Aldo had one fight remaining on his UFC contract, but had made an agreement with the promotion so that he could be released.
