Update on Jose Aldo fighting at UFC 200
Tuesday morning the MMA world was quickly thrown into a panic as a rumor emerged that former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo had injured himself in training and would be unable to fight in his scheduled UFC 200 bout against Frankie Edgar for the interim featherweight championship.
Given that there had been no official comment from Aldo or his camp regarding the situation, there was much speculation as to whether or not the rumor was true.
Olimpo MMA founder Matheus Costa confirmed just moments ago that Aldo hasn’t injured himself, and is actually in the middle of a sparring session right now!
Just confirmed that Jose Aldo IS NOT injuried and he will face Frankie Edgar at #UFC200. He's doing sparring right now, by the way. #UFC
