Julianna Peña tells Ronda Rousey to get in line after catching word of title shot
The rumors of Ronda Rousey facing champion Amanda Nunes for her comeback fight did not settle well with fellow woman’s bantamweight contender Julianna Peña.
Since Rousey lost the belt, three other women have held it. First, Miesha Tate defeated Holm by submission at UFC 196, who in turn dropped the belt to Nunes by first round TKO at UFC 200.
Now on the cusp of a title shot herself, Julianna ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ Peña believes Ronda needs to “get to the back of the line”, tweeting that Rousey coming off a “definitive loss” should preclude her from a shot at Nunes’ belt.

The 27-year-old Peña is currently ranked number five in the woman’s bantamweight division and is riding a four-fight win streak, while Rousey hasn’t stepped in the cage since she dropped the belt to Holm at UFC 193.
Word of the former champ getting a title shot for her comeback fight at UFC 207 began over the weekend when noted MMA insider Dizz reported that Rousey would be fighting Nunes (13-4) for the UFC’s annual New Year’s Eve Card in Las Vegas. Peña apparently caught wind of it and took to Twitter to put Rousey in her place and officially call out Nunes with the hashtag #fightmeNunes.
Amanda Nunes, 28, who is also on a four-fight win streak, has yet to comment on who her first title defense will be against.
