The Octagon returns to Las Vegas for tonight’s Noche UFC event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko 2. Grasso (16-3 MMA) will be looking to earn her first title defense when she takes to the Octagon this evening. The 30-year-old captured the promotion’s flyweight world title this past March at UFC 285, when she upset ‘The Bullet’ by way of fourth-round submission. That win marked Alexa’s fifth in a row, as she previously defeated the likes of Kim Ji-yeon, Maycee Barber, Joanne Wood and Viviane Araujo.

UFC welterweight contender Kevin Holland isn’t exactly eyeing a title fight anytime soon. ‘Big Mouth’ has been out of the octagon since a first-round submission win over Michael Chiesa in July. That was Kevin Holland’s second stoppage victory in a row, previously knocking out Santiago Ponzibbio in April at UFC 287. Now, he’s set for his third fight of the year opposite Jack Della Maddalena this Saturday.

A welterweight banger will serve as the co-main event of Noche UFC in September. Noche UFC is the Mexican Independence Day Card on Sept. 16 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The original co-main event was Shavkat Rakhmonov vs. Kelvin Gastelum, but the latter was forced out of the scrap due to an injury. Now, Twitter user Stand Em Up has reported that Kevin Holland will take on Jack Della Maddalena as the new co-main event.

The UFC 291 salaries have been released – but only a handful have actually been made public for fans to see. The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s most recent pay-per-view event was, by all accounts, a success. The promotion put on another fantastic card, headlined by Justin Gaethje knocking out Dustin Poirier to win the BMF title. In addition to that, we also saw a parade of other fun match-ups, setting us up for even more entertaining collisions in the future.

Kevin Holland gave a brutally honest take on Michael Chiesa’s fighting future following UFC 291. Holland and Chiesa shared the Octagon in the UFC 291 main card opener. This one didn’t last long, as Holland was able to secure a choke in the opening frame. Chiesa has now lost three fights in a row and has been submitted in two of those fights. It’s a tough skid for Chiesa, who had previously been on a four-fight winning streak prior to this current stretch.

When Holland was fighting at middleweight, he was easily taken down by Derek Brunson and Marvin Vettori. The losses showed a hole in his game and since then, Holland has dropped to welterweight and hasn’t had to show off much of his takedown defense as he has been fighting strikers.

Kevin Holland apparently told a fan to ‘f**k off’ after he allegedly grabbed his ass during a photo request. It was ‘Trailblazer’ who was awarded a KO victory, at 3:16 of round 3, over the ‘Argentine Dagger’ this past weekend.

Holland is set to face Santiago Ponzinibbio on the pay-per-view main card while Masvidal is in the co-main event against Gilbert Burns. In that outing, ‘Wonderboy’ dominated en route to a fourth-round stoppage victory. The defeat was Holland’s second in a row, having previously lost by submission to Khamzat Chimaev.
