UFC middleweight Kevin Holland picked up a KO win over Ronaldo Souza at UFC 256, but he wishes it hadn’t been “Jacare” who got knocked out. Holland picked up arguably the biggest win of his MMA career to date when he brutally knocked Souza out in the first round with punches off his back. It was a unique knockout and extremely violent, too, as Souza’s body was contorted on the mat while Holland KOed him. It was the kind of win that officially announced Holland as a serious title contender in the UFC middleweight division, and also the kind of win that makes you wonder what Souza has left in the tank considering how devastating the KO was.

With Jack Hermansson now fighting Marvin Vettori, Kevin Holland played musical chairs and will now face Ronaldo Souza at UFC 256 instead. Holland was set to fight Hermansson in the main event of UFC Vegas 16 on December 5, but he was pulled this week from the bout after testing positive for COVID-19. The UFC then announced that Vettori would be pulled from his fight against Souza at UFC 256 on December 12 to fight Hermansson on short notice. That briefly left Souza without an opponent, but the UFC matchmakers took care of that quickly as Holland will now take on Souza at UFC 256 barring another positive test for COVID-19.

UFC middleweight Jack Hermansson believes that the ground game is the key to beating Kevin Holland when the two clash later this year. Hermansson was originally scheduled to fight Darren Till on December 5 at a UFC Fight Night event in Las Vegas, but Till withdrew due to injury and was replaced by Holland. Hermansson is a top-five fighter but decided to accept the fight against an unranked opponent. On paper, this looks like a great fight for the fans even if Holland isn’t ranked just because of what could happen if the fight between these two hits the ground.

Holland is one of the hottest fighters in the UFC middleweight division these days. Since making his promotional debut in 2018, Holland has gone 7-2 overall in the Octagon. But 2020, in particular, has been a good year for him. Since the UFC returned from the coronavirus pandemic in May, Holland has gone 4-0 with wins over Anthony Hernandez, Joaquin Buckley, Darren Stewart, and Charlie Ontiveros. He will fight for the fifth time in seven months when he takes on Jack Hermansson at UFC Fight Night in December.

Holland has been one of the most active fighters on the UFC roster during the COVID-19 pandemic era. Dating back to May, Holland has fought four times and he’s won all four fights in impressive fashion. In May, Holland knocked out Anthony Hernandez in the first round at UFC Jacksonville. Holland then returned in August at UFC Vegas: Lewis vs. Overeem and defeated Joaquin Buckley via KO, winning a 50k bonus for his efforts.

UFC middleweight contender Kevin Holland called out Mike Perry following his first-round submission win over Charlie Ontiveros on Saturday. Holland picked up his fourth straight win since the UFC restarted following the coronavirus pandemic in May as he finished Ontiveros in the first round. He also holds notably recent victories over Darren Stewart, Joaquin Buckley, and Anthony Hernandez. Overall, Holland is now 7-2 in the UFC since joining the promotion in August 2018. He has quickly become a fan favorite both for his impressive performances inside the cage and his trash talking.

UFC middleweight Kevin Holland received a short-notice opponent for UFC Vegas 12 after Makhmud Muradov withdrew from Saturday’s event. Holland vs. Muradov was set to be a part of the main card for this Saturday’s UFC event, which features a main event between middleweights Uriah Hall and Anderson Silva. Holland vs. Muradov had the potential to a great fight, but unfortunately, it won’t be happening anymore. According to a report from MMAFighting.com, Muradov was forced to withdraw from the event and he has been replaced by the UFC newcomer Ontiveros.

UFC middleweight contender Kevin Holland announced his next fight against “The Dentist” Darren Stewart with a visit to his dentist’s office. Holland took to social media to announce that he will be fighting Stewart at the UFC Fight Night card on September 19 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The headliner for that event was officially announced this weekend by the UFC as welterweight contenders Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley will meet in a five-round grudge match. Four fighters including middleweight Kevin Holland received $50,000 each for “Performance of the Night” bonuses following the conclusion of UFC on Vegas 6. Holland, along with middleweight Darren Stewart, featherweight Gavin Tucker, and middleweight Andrew Sanchez, all received the highly-coveted bonuses following the event. The UFC made the announcement that four POTN bonuses would be handed out.

Kevin Holland is frustrated that his UFC Vegas 5 fight against Trevin Giles was cancelled and he wants everybody to know about it. The middleweight prospect’s fight against Giles was cancelled at the last minute after his opponent fainted just moments before his walkout. Holland explained how he discovered the disappointing news and vented that he wants to “bite somebody’s ear off’ or “eat their kids”.
