So, on a media call, he revealed Dana White has promised him something special if he wins.

Chandler just made the jump from Bellator to the UFC, and has yet to make his debut in the Octagon. However, he’s had his eye on Nurmagomedov, who he forecasted as a future champion, for a long time.

Former UFC champion Eddie Alvarez doesn’t believe Justin Gaethje has the style necessary to beat Khabib Nurmagomedov. Alvarez, who is now with ONE Championship, faced off against Gaethje back in December 2017 and secured a knockout win against “The Highlight”. Gaethje has gone on to string four impressive KO and TKO wins together after another defeat against Dustin Poirier, with his victory over Tony Ferguson in May handing him the UFC Interim Lightweight Championship.

It appears the UFC wanted Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor to be the coaches on the return of The Ultimate Fighter according to Ali Abdelaziz. For months now, Dana White has been adamant that TUF will be brought back. Originally, Paulo Costa’s team called for him to coach against Israel Adesanya but White wanted McGregor to coach against the winner of Nurmagomedov-Gaethje.

Nurmagomedov returns to the Octagon for the first time since September 2019 when he takes on interim champ Justin Gaethje in a title unification bout at UFC 254 on October 24. Nurmagomedov will be fighting with a heavy heart after the death of his father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov earlier this summer after a fatal battle with COVID-19. Ahead of his big fight with Gaethje, Nurmagomedov has released photos of his training camp.

Gaethje, the UFC’s interim lightweight champion, will challenge the undefeated Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 254 on October 24. He’ll enter the fight as an underdog, but he’ll also do so with the confidence of Rutten.

In that fight Nurmagomedov defended his title against McGregor with a fourth-round submission victory.
