VIDEO | Khabib Nurmagomedov plans to change Conor McGregor’s face at UFC 229
Former two division UFC champion, Conor McGregor, will make his highly anticipated octagon return on October 6 when he challenges Khabib Nurmagomedov for the promotions lightweight championship in the main event of UFC 229.
The Irish star has not stepped foot inside the octagon since defeating Eddie Alvarez via second-round TKO at UFC 205 in November of 2016.
Despite the long layoff, Conor McGregor is confident that he will be able to put a bad beating on his undefeated opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov when the cage door closes on October 6.
“I came back for the love of this. To come and shut this man (Khabib) up. That little rat, that little weasel. A little hard man in groups. I met many of them through my years. A man who grows in numbers. But a man who when on his own and confronted cowers away and that’s what you saw with that shit on the bus over there. He shit is jocks in front of his own countrymen. I’m truly going to love putting a bad, bad beating on this little glass jaw rat!”– Conor McGregor said at the UFC 229 press conference in New York.
Meanwhile, Khabib Nurmagomedov has gone a perfect 26-0 in his mixed martial arts career, which includes ten victories under the UFC banner.
“The Eagle” was last seen in action at April’s UFC 223 event in Brooklyn, where he defeated Al Iaquinta to capture the promotions coveted lightweight title.
Khabib is looking to make a bold statement at UFC 229, which includes re-arranging his Irish rivals face.
