The Octagon returned to Nevada for today’s UFC Vegas 42 event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Max Holloway vs. Yair Rodriguez. The main event proved to be a thrilling five round war. Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez got after it right from the opening bell and didn’t stop trading strikes until the horn sounded to end their twenty-five minute affair. Although ‘El Pantera’ found success by landing a plethora of heavy kicks, it was the pace, takedowns and volume of punches from ‘Blessed’ that proved to be the determining factor in the decision.

Khaos Williams was happy he got back into the win column on Saturday night at UFC Vegas 29. Williams broke onto the UFC scene with two sub-30 second KOs over Alex Morono and Abdul Razak Alhassan. In his third fight, he suffered a close decision loss to Michel Pereira, but on Saturday he earned a hard-fought decision win over Matt Semelsberger which Williams was happy about.

A welterweight bout between Michel Pereira and Khaos Williams took place on the main card of tonight’s UFC Vegas 17 event. Pereira (24-11 MMA) was last seen in action this past September, where he scored a submission victory over Zelim Imadaev. That win had snapped a two-fight losing skid for ‘Demolidor’, as he had suffered setbacks to Diego Sanchez and Tristan Connelly in his most previous Octagon appearances.

UFC welterweight prospect Khaos Williams explained how rappers Jay-Z and Meek Mill inspire him and got him through dark times in his life. Williams is one of the most promising young fighters in the UFC welterweight division. In his first fight in the UFC earlier this year, he knocked out Alex Morono in just 27 seconds. And then in his second UFC fights this past weekend, Williams brutally knocked out Abdul Razak Alhassan in just 30 seconds. Based on those fights, he looks like one of the top young fighters in the UFC welterweight division.

After getting a short notice call to make his Octagon debut at UFC 247, Khaos Williams made a big statement in a short amount of time in Houston. Williams stepped in on less than two weeks notice to replace the injured Dhiego Lima and finished Alex Morono with a vicious KO in just 27 seconds. In a night of controversial judging and scorecards, the 25-year-old Michigan native left no question unanswered.
