Kimbo Slice tragically passes away at age 42
42-year-old Kevin Ferguson, better known as Kimbo Slice passed away late Monday.
TMZ initially reported that Ferguson was admitted to a hospital near his home in Coral Springs, Florida on Monday.
ESPN’s Billy Corben acknowledged Ferguson’s death late Monday on twitter.

American Top Team, where Ferguson trained out of also acknowledged the death of the Florida star.

Ferguson last fought Dhafir “Dada 500” Harris at Bellator 149 where he initially beat Harris by TKO in the third round of their fight. However, the fight was later overturned to a no-contest after Ferguson tested positive for the steroid nandrolone, according to urine test results released by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Kimbo Slice became famous when his backyard fight videos went viral on the Internet, which carried on to his big draw in mixed martial arts where he set record numbers.
Ferguson’s professional mixed martial arts record was 5-2, having fights under the biggest MMA promotions in the world inlcuding Elite XC, the UFC, and Bellator MMA.
