Mark Hunt forced to call police after social media user threatens his kids
UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt is currently gearing up for his UFC 209 rematch with Alistair Overeem on March 4th in Paradise, Nevada, however he has had to take some time to contact police after threats were made against his kids on social media.
Mark Hunt called the user out in a social media post:

“this kid Benji Plant from Burnie Tasmania left a message on my social media and says he is going to rape my 6 and 4 year old kids I have already reported this kid to the police😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡I wish u could actually have the guts to say this sort of bullshit to my face why anyone would say these things angers me so much 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 u kid are in trouble”
So far no update from Hunt on the situation, however as ‘The Super Samoan’ stated in his post, he called the police over the matter.
Hunt has been absent from the Octagon since his UFC 200 scrap with Brock Lesnar, where he initially suffered a unanimous decision loss to Brock Lesnar before the loss was overturned to a no contest after it was revealed that Lesnar had failed both a pre-fight, and fight night, drug test.
This has led to quite the outcry from Hunt, as he initially went off on the UFC in numerous rants, calling for the promotion to give him 100% of Lesnar’s purse. This was followed up by a period of silence from Hunt, during which he turned down two UFC fights after the promotion was unwilling to put a provision in contracts protecting the MMA vet from fighting an opponent on PEDs.
Ultimately, Hunt and the UFC were able to reach an agreement after it was announced that Hunt and Overeem would be fighting at UFC 209 in March, where Hunt says the UFC essentially forced him to fight.
