Mark Hunt is pissed about Brock Lesnar’s potential anti-doping violation
News broke on Friday that the UFC was notified that Brock Lesnar has been flagged for a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
Lesnar’s potential violation stems from an out of competition sample that was collected by USADA on June 28, 2016.
Upon hearing the news, Lesnar’s UFC 200 opponent Mark Hunt was furious and has an ultimatum for the UFC. Hunt wants half of Lesnar’s fight purse, or be immediately released from the UFC, according to MMA Fighting.
“The cheaters get a slap on the wrist and walk off,” Hunt told MMA Fighting. “What penalty or deterrent is there to make them think twice? Nothing. And the [Nevada Athletic Commission], why should these [expletive] get anything? They are not the ones who had to fight with Lesnar or lose [to him]. I lost.”
Lesnar received the highest recorded disclosed payout at UFC 200, which was $2.5 million. However, with Lesnar’s pay-per-view points taken into consideration, the payout is expected to be much higher.
