The UFC Vegas 104 weigh-ins have wrapped up, and there were three scale fails. Taking center stage in the main event of this Saturday’s card inside the UFC Apex will be two middleweights vying to show they can break into elite status. Marvin Vettori steps back inside the Octagon for the first time since 2023 when he takes on Roman Dolidze. Both men made use of the extra pound allowance for non-title fights, clocking in at 186 pounds each.

Vettori (19-7-1 MMA) was of course originally slated to face Allen (24-5 MMA) in tonight’s UFC headliner but was forced to withdraw from the contest less than a month out due to an injury.

Vettori suffered an injury, and it’s something he called a “freak accident.” Vettori ended up being replaced by Chris Curtis. While the one-time UFC middleweight title challenger won’t be facing Brendan Allen on April 6, he says he wants the fight once he’s healthy enough to return to the Octagon.

With that loss Vettori is 3-3 in his last 6 fights in the Octagon. Vettori, 30, most recent unanimous decision victories have come against Roman Dolidze (12-2 MMA), Paulo Costa (14-2 MMA) and Kevin Holland (25-10 MMA).

Adesanya recently lost the UFC Middleweight Championship to Strickland in Sydney, Australia.
