Marvin Vettori has given his thoughts on Dricus du Plessis’ victory over Israel Adesanya at UFC 305 last night. Just a matter of hours ago, Dricus du Plessis defeated Israel Adesanya at UFC 305. He did so following a grueling title encounter, with the end result being du Plessis securing a fourth-round submission triumph. Up to that point in the contest, it was really hard to tell who was getting the better of the fight – with a lot of fans believing ‘Stylebender’ should’ve been up on the scorecards.

In the main event of UFC 305, Israel Adesanya will face current middleweight champion, Dricus du Plessis. ‘Stillknocks’ won the gold from Sean Strickland in January by split-decision. Heading into Saturday’s event, the two men have developed quite the feud.

Brendan Allen doesn’t see a need in getting rebooked against Marvin Vettori. Allen was booked to face Vettori back in April, but the Italian was forced out of the bout. Chris Curtis stepped up on short notice to face ‘All In’ in the main event of the card. Following Allen getting the decision win over Curtis, he believes he’s past Vettori and doesn’t see a need to fight him.

Marvin Vettori has a message for Brendan Allen after being forced off their planned UFC Vegas 90 main event. Vettori suffered an injury, and it’s something he called a “freak accident.” Vettori ended up being replaced by Chris Curtis. While the one-time UFC middleweight title challenger won’t be facing Brendan Allen on April 6, he says he wants the fight once he’s healthy enough to return to the Octagon.

Vettori, 30, most recent unanimous decision victories have come against Roman Dolidze (12-2 MMA), Paulo Costa (14-2 MMA) and Kevin Holland (25-10 MMA).

Last month, he made his official Ultimate Fighting Championship debut, defeating Bruno Silva via unanimous decision.

Marvin Vettori has released a statement following his lopsided decision loss to Jared Cannonier at UFC Vegas 75. Vettori was headlining the card at the UFC Apex on Saturday night and entered the fight as a small betting favorite. Right out of the gates, Vettori landed a nice shot that rocked Cannonier and had him stumbling. Yet, that was one of the only bright spots for the Italian as Cannonier took over and had Vettori hurt on numerous occasions to cruise to a unanimous decision victory. The judges scored the fight, 49-45, 49-45, and 48-46, as Cannonier outstruck Vettori 257-154, with ‘The Killa Gorilla’ landing 241 significant strikes in the fight.
