Matt Brown and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone engaged in one of the great fights from the exhilerating UFC 206 event that took place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto over the weekend. Brown and Cerrone went to war in a back and forth battle that came to an end in the third round where Cerrone landed a devastating kick to the head of Brown as he was leaning into the powerful attack. Brown dropped to the canvas and Cerrone realized Brown’s condition and did not need to follow up with any strikes to the downed veteran.

As unfortunate as they are, UFC 205‘s last-minute losses are UFC 206’s gain. First the Toronto card received a Tim Kennedy vs. Rashad Evans bout that was originally scheduled for UFC 205’s undercard. Now, it looks as though the Toronto card will grow by one epic welterweight scrap as Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone is rumored to be taking on Matt Brown at the event. Cowboy, of course, was expected to take on Kelvin Gastelum in the second bout of UFC 205’s main card. When Gastelum was unable to make weight for the bout, however, Cowboy was left without an opponent and forced off the UFC 205 bill.

Rodrigo Botti, a former trainer of UFC welterweight Matt Brown allegedly attacked Brown at his hotel in Brazil on Sunday after his UFC 198 fight with Demian Maia. Video was released of the incident following Botti’s alleged attack on Brown. The video shows a man who has been identified as Vinicius “Pequeno” Lemos punishing Botti for his attack on Brown.
