The official weigh-ins for UFC Vegas 42 took place on Friday in Las Vegas, and 20 of the 22 fighters scheduled to compete have made weight. In the main event, both headliners in Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez successfully made weight for their featherweight bout. Holloway stepped onto the scale at 146lbs while Rodriguez was 145.5lbs, so the UFC Vegas 42 main event is now official.

It was McGregor’s second UFC fight while it was Holloway’s sixth and dropped him to 3-3. After that loss, however, the Hawaiian went on a 13-fight winning streak including winning and defending the featherweight belt.

McKee and Pitbull met in the main event of Bellator 263 in what marked the finals of the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix, a 16-man tournament that began nearly two years ago and only just now finished. Although Pitbull is the champion and one of the most experienced fighters to ever compete in Bellator, he was finished early in the first round when McKee rocked him with a head kick and then choked him out with a guillotine. It was an incredible finish by McKee and proved that he is one of the best featherweights in MMA.

ESPN was the first to report that Holloway is injured and out of the fight with Rodriguez. According to the report, the UFC is hoping to reschedule the bout for a future fight card instead of finding someone to fill in on short notice against Rodriguez. With the Holloway vs. Rodriguez fight now off of the UFC’s July 17 card, the promotion will surely be looking to find a replacement headliner on one month’s notice.
