Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway is down for a showdown with Justin Gaethje. ‘The Highlight’ is currently awaiting his next fight. Last defeating Dustin Poirier by knockout to win ‘BMF’ gold in July, he quickly called for a title shot against Islam Makhachev. The Russian recently defeated Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 294, and Justin Gaethje quickly called for a title bid once again.

Despite heading into the matchup a heavy favorite, Aljamain Sterling suffered a second-round knockout loss. Despite calls for an instant rematch, ‘Sugar’ instead targeted a potential rematch with Marlon Vera.

Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway still wants to fight Alexander Volkanovski. ‘Blessed’ returned to the win column last month at UFC Singapore against The Korean Zombie. Facing the South Korean fighter in his final fight, Max Holloway scored a highlight-reel third-round knockout. The win was his second in a row, previously defeating Arnold Allen in the main event of UFC Kansas City in April.

Last weekend in the main event of UFC Singapore, Max Holloway knocked out The Korean Zombie. It came in the wake of his win over Arnold Allen which, in itself, was a big moment for ‘Blessed’ as it allowed him to get back in the win column.

In the main event of UFC Singapore, a featherweight banger headlined the card as Max Holloway took on Korean Zombie. Holloway entered the fight coming off a decision win over Arnold Allen back in April to return to the win column after losing a one-sided decision to Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title in July 2022. Korean Zombie, meanwhile, was ending his layoff as he last fought back in April 2022 when he suffered a TKO loss to Volkanovski for the featherweight title.

Max Holloway will not be heeding Ilia Topuria’s advice. Topuria was paying attention to Holloway’s recent outing against “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung. Holloway won the fight with a walk-off KO. The featherweight scrap headlined UFC Singapore this past Saturday. After the fight, Topuria hopped on Twitter to suggest it’s time for “Blessed” to hang up his MMA gloves.

Max Holloway has praised Chan Sung Jung, aka The Korean Zombie, following their fantastic fight at UFC Singapore. Last Saturday night, in the main event of UFC Singapore, Max Holloway went to war with The Korean Zombie. The two men traded back and forth until finally, at the start of the third round, Holloway caught Zombie with a counter after the underdog rushed forward and threw caution to the wind. He knocked him out, earning his first finish in almost five years.

Holloway (25-7 MMA) collided with Chan Sung Jung (17-8 MMA) in the headliner of today’s event in Singapore. The result was a third-round KO victory for ‘Blessed’ (see that here), with The Korean Zombie subsequently announcing his retirement.

The Octagon returned to Singapore for today’s UFC Fight Night event, a thirteen-bout fight card headlined by Max Holloway vs. The Korean Zombie. The highly anticipated featherweight main event proved to be a thrilling slugfest for as long as it lasted. Max Holloway was able to hurt Chan Sung Jung on a number of occasions in the opening two rounds, but in classic Zombie fashion, the Korean stayed in the fight and kept on swinging. That was until early in round three when a perfectly timed right hand from ‘Blessed’ landed flush on the chin of ‘TKZ’ and put him away for good.

That victory had got ‘Blessed‘ back into the win column, as he had previously suffered a third career loss to Alex Volkanovski at UFC 276.

The former title challenger has been out of action since his failed bid for gold last April. Headlining UFC 273 against Alexander Volkanovski, Chan Sung Jung, also known as Korean Zombie, was dominated. He suffered a fourth-round stoppage defeat at the hands of ‘The Great’ that night.
