Pros react to Max Holloway stopping Jose Aldo at UFC 218

Jose Aldo Max Holloway

UFC 218 delivered in a big way some amazing fights and spectacular finishes.

A featherweight title fight rematch between current champ Max Holloway and former division kingpin Jose Aldo served as the main event of tonight’s UFC 218 event in Detroit.

Holloway delivered on his promise to continue the “Blessed Era” finishing Jose Aldo late in round three.

The fight was a back and forth affair with Aldo landing some brutal leg kicks and solid punches on the reigning featherweight champion. However, despite Aldo’s early success, the Hawaiian would storm back late in round two and begin to take control of the fight.

After trading huge shots in the pocket midway through the third round, Max Holloway would eventually put Aldo down and finish him with strikes in round three.

It is what it is.

Here is how the pros reacted to Max Holloway’s impressive first title defense.
