Mayweather vs. Pacquiao Likely To Go Down In 2015
Boxing fans may finally get to see the biggest fight of this era. Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao could finally happen in 2015 according to promoters.
Boxing Promoter Bob Arum spoke to the San Francisco Chronicle about the potential matchup saying:
“Both networks want this fight to happen (HBO and CBS). All signs seem to point to the fight happening early next year. “There is a sell-by date, where it becomes ‘Who cares?’ [after that]. It has to happen by the first six months of next year, and if it happens, there should be a provision with a different percentage for the rematch. So that the winner is rewarded for winning the fight. I would love to see these guys fight twice next year.”
Pacquiao, who is currently signed to fight Chris Algieri in China in November, spoke with media about his desire for the potential fight.
“Of course, I want this fight. People have always been bothering me, ‘When is this fight going to happen?’ … ‘When is this fight going to happen?’ I am ready to fight Floyd anytime.”
