Michael Bisping Predicts a First Round KO Over Georges St-Pierre
Justin Golightly - September 27, 2017
It was just last week that Michael Bisping revealed he was at least thinking about retirement, but he sure isn’t sounding like he’s leaning toward it. He says he’s down to go up and challenge Daniel Cormier, now he’s got some bold predictions regarding his upcoming fight with Georges St-Pierre. Not only is he confident that he’ll knock out the former welterweight champion in the very first round, but part of his confidence could come from… spies in Georges St-Pierre’s camp? “Generally, when I fight wrestlers in the past, I move around a lot. I utilize a lot of lateral movement, forward and back movement, side to side, because if you’re moving, it’s hard for a wrestler to shoot a double leg on you because you’re a moving target. I won’t be doing that this time. I’m going to stand right in front of [Georges St-Pierre], I’m going to plant my feet, I’m going to walk him down, put him on the back foot, and I’m going to knock him out in the first round. You have my word.”

This fight registers as one of the biggest of the year, and from the sounds of it, Bisping could follow it with another massive showdown. Russell Ess - September 26, 2017
There will be a quite a few new experiences for Georges St-Pierre when he makes his return to the Octagon after being away from mixed martial arts competition for nearly four years. It will be the first time the former UFC welterweight champion will compete at 185 pounds as he challenges UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping for his title. “Rush” will likely also have a new coach added to his corner for the fight taking place at UFC 217 in November as famed boxing coach Freddie Roach explained recently to Fight Hub.
Robert Whittaker Ready to 'Crush' Michael Bisping or Georges St-Pierre
Justin Golightly - September 20, 2017
Rising up slowly on the horizon is UFC’s biggest card of the year. UFC 217 will feature three title shots, headlined by Michael Bisping and the welterweight legend Georges St-Pierre, who’ll be making his return to challenge the middleweight throne. Orbiting just outside of all this, is Robert Whittaker. Ol’ Bobby Knuckles is on an eight-fight win streak, and beat both Jacare Souza and Yoel Romero in three months to earn the interim title. Whoever wins between Bisping and St-Pierre allegedly are contractually obligated to fight the heavy-handed Aussie. Confident and laid back, Robert Whittaker says he doesn’t care who ends up with the title. He’ll crush either one. “Before I got the interim belt, I always had my eyes set on the prize, which is that UFC gold. How I get there doesn’t bother me. I’m either going to to plow a path through the division to get there. I’ve always been open to fight anyone, still am, but I want that belt and I need to fight [Michael] Bisping. So, whatever happens between Bisping and Georges [St-Pierre], let them play around a little bit, but I’ll be ready for either one of ’em.”
Michael Bisping extends Luke Rockhold an interesting offer following UFC Pittsburgh
Chris Taylor - September 17, 2017
Current UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping will look to defend his title for a second time when he squares off with former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre in the main event of UFC 217 on November 4 in New York. The fight (GSP vs. Bisping) has been highly criticized by fellow middleweight fighters who believe that the French Canadian should not have received an immediate title shot in a division where he has no prior wins.
Michael Bisping Thinks Jon Jones Should be Banned from MMA if Found Guilty Again
Justin Golightly - September 12, 2017
After many twists and turns, the Jon Jones saga still is far from ending. After a positive urine test blew up MMA Twitter, a separate blood test came back clean. As we await the test results of the B sample and maybe even a court case following the results, speculation as well as hope for exoneration runs rampant. A laundry list of consequences face Jon Jones if he is proven guilty of his anti-doping violation, but UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping thinks Jones should receive the harshest possible punishment imaginable. “I think it’s fair to say that he has definitely tarnished his legacy. I think he will always be remembered from the stunning performances he’s put on. […] Yes, outside of the Octagon he’s made some very bad decisions and unfortunately this is one that isn’t go away for a long time. I think he’s looking at a four-year suspension and it’s fair to say there’s no smoke without fire. This isn’t his first time. I guess we’re going to see how this thing unfolds, but it’s not looking good.”
Michael Bisping Doesn't Give a Sh*t That GSP is Training with Freddie Roach
Justin Golightly - September 12, 2017
We’re still about a month away from UFC 217, but Michael Bisping is already heating things up with Georges St-Pierre. The dude followed him into an elevator with steroid accusations and it’s only going to get wilder from there. On the latest episode of his podcast, he talked about the match-up and what he thinks of St-Pierre boning up on his boxing with famed trainer Freddie Roach. “I know [Georges St-Pierre] is a good wrestler, he’s a strong guy. He’s working with Freddie Roach which I couldn’t give a sh-t about to be honest. I’m really not concerned about what he’s gonna’ do or what [Roach] is gonna’ improve him on and I hope that he improves his boxing to where Georges wants to stand and have a boxing fight with me. I hope he does that.”

Michael Bisping knows how to fix Conor McGregor's cardio problem
Tom Taylor - September 3, 2017
Last weekend, Conor McGregor came up short in his anticipated boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr., succumbing to 10th round punches. While this loss can be primarily attributed to Mayweather’s fantastic ring craft, it can also be stacked up to McGregor’s cardio issues – issues that also plagued him in his two Octagon battles with Nate Diaz. On the most recent episode of his podcast Believe You Me, UFC middleweight champ weighed in on McGregor’s cardio woes:
BREAKING | Tyron Woodley Threatens to Move Up For a Middleweight Title Shot
Justin Golightly - August 25, 2017
Tyron Woodley just quietly tried to steal the fire from Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather for fight week. He is fresh off his UFC 214 win where he shut down Demian Maia, who has just been choking anyone he wanted until then. Before that, he derailed the Stephen Thompson hype train not once, but twice, and he was being groomed to become the next exciting UFC welterweight champion. So, who’s next for Woodley? That’s a harder question than you think. Besides a rematch with Robbie Lawler who he took the belt from via a startling first round KO, or fighting the guy who just got beat by Maia, there isn’t much left for Tyron Woodley. That’s why he just told Ariel Helwani that his future may be in the next weight division. The champ @TWooodley is here. #themmahour https://t.co/1p8tiduAag pic.twitter.com/EutXpUk0gx
Boxer Tony Bellew says he'd fight Michael Bisping but not Jon Jones – and Bisping responds
Tom Taylor - August 16, 2017
The trend of mixed martial artists chasing fights with boxers – and vice versa – doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. In a recent interview with SkySports, former WBC cruiserweight titleholder Tony Bellew was asked which, if any, MMA stars he’d be willing to fight. While he quickly shut down the idea of a fight with light heavyweight powerhouse Jon Jones, he did express some interest in a fight with middleweight champ Michael Bisping. “I can wrestle, I can grapple, I punch hard, I can kick and I’ve got some kickboxing experience,” Bellew said. “You can forget about me getting in the cage with Jon Jones – not a chance. But if you’re asking if I would get in the cage with a puncher in the UFC? Mike Bisping is a guy who is predominantly known as a puncher and he’s a very strong wrestler as well. I think I could get down to 185 [lbs]. If the money is right, then Tony Bellew would happily enter a cage or a ring. Maybe let’s do one of them each. I’m a Michael Bisping fan, but if the money was right then the fan stuff goes out the window.”
Michael Bisping: GSP is in 'position of power' over UFC, doesn't have to fight Whittaker
Tom Taylor - August 16, 2017
On Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour, Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre explained that, if he beats Michael Bisping to capture UFC middleweight gold at UFC 217 this November, he’ll then have to defend the title – probably against interim champion Robert Whittaker. “I have to defend my title. It’s written in my contract that I have to defend my title if I win, and also I think it’s [Robert] Whittaker that’s going to be the other guy that has the fight. When I beat Bisping, he’s going to be the guy that I’m going to fight next.

Robert Whittaker Doesn't Care About Georges St-Pierre Fighting Michael Bisping
Justin Golightly - August 12, 2017
The way that the UFC’s middleweight division has been booked has caused a lot of fighters to get pissed off. Michael Bisping and his forever-upcoming fight with Georges St-Pierre created a log jam that had domino effects far beyond what people could have imagined. At one point, fighters like Luke Rockhold and Yoel Romero were on strike. Jacare Souza used the situation to leverage a better contract, while Gegard Mousasi left for Bellator. The new interim middleweight champion Robert Whittaker doesn’t seem to care though. “It’s worked in my favor with that fight being scheduled. I have to fight Michael — there’s no one I also can fight — so with that, the earliest I can realistically fight is early next year anyway. They [the UFC] knew I couldn’t fight until early next year and Michael wanted that fight with Georges really badly. So, to me it’s perfect and there’s no guarantees what’s going to happen. I’m happy to fight Georges as much as I am to fight Bisping.” — Robert Whittaker speaking to FOX Sports Australia.
Michael Bisping issues scathing response to "vagina" Luke Rockhold
Tom Taylor - August 9, 2017
Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold is not a fan of the way Michael Bisping has been comporting himself as the reigning champ. In fact, he believes Bisping should be stripped of the UFC middleweight belt, as his only defense thus far has come against an aging Dan Henderson, and his next defense will pit him against former welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre. Rockhold made the case for the UFC’s stripping of Bisping in a recent interview with ESPN:
Michael Bisping was robbed and had a near-death experience in Hawaii

The score is tied 1-1 between Luke Rockhold and UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping. In the pair’s first meeting, Rockhold picked up a submission win over his rival in a highly anticipated grudge match. Bisping vowed revenge, however his opportunity wouldn’t come for several years. When it did, it was in the form of a short notice fill-in fight in a bid for Rockhold’s middleweight title. Despite that, Bisping rose to the occasion, defying the odds as he defeated Rockhold via KO in the first round to win the middleweight championship.
