Michael Page trashes "d***head" Paul Daley, teases upcoming London showdown

Tom Taylor - August 1, 2018

Bellator has been trying to book a fight between British knockout artists Michael Page and Paul Daley for years. Now that Page and Daley are both expected to participate in Bellator’s Welterweight Grand Prix, the fight would seem to be closer to fruition than ever. In fact, Page thinks it’ll happen before the year is out.

After Bellator 200 win, Michael Page eyes return to boxing

Tom Taylor - May 30, 2018

Michael Page could not have been more impressive in his second-round stoppage win over David Rickels, which co-headlined Bellator 200 on Friday. It was a truly dominant display, during which Page unleashed plenty of his patented taunts and trash talk, and took almost nothing in the way of damage himself. In the wake of this fight, the MMA community is once again calling for a fight between Page and his fellow British knockout artist Paul Daley. It’s a fight that the fans have wanted to see for years, but one that has not yet come to fruition.

Michael Page needs a title fight to validate the hype

Jordy McElroy - May 26, 2018

David Rickels vowed to take Michael “Venom” Page’s heart in front of his London countrymen at Bellator 200. Yet, when the smoke cleared, Rickels was the one succumbing to defeat at the hands of the British doppelganger of Anderson Silva. Coming off an 18-month hiatus, Page opened up a gash over Rickels’ left eye, forcing a verbal submission at 0:43 of the second round.

Paul Daley says he's signing a contract to fight Michael Page this summer, Page responds

Tom Taylor - February 18, 2018

Though Paul Daley recently expressed interest in parting ways with Bellator MMA, it sounds as though he’ll be sticking with the promotion after all. In a Friday post to his personal Facebook account, Daley claimed that he’s signing not just one, but two contracts for Bellator bouts. The first, he says, will pit him against recent free agent and former World Series of Fighting champion Jon Fitch in May. The second will see him locked in the cage with fellow Englishman and long-time rival Michael “Venom” Page this summer.

Michael Page drops ideal date for his next fight

Russell Ess - October 24, 2017

Michael Page is coming off his professional boxing debut, making quick work of his opponent Jonathan Castano. Bellator President Scott Coker said earlier this year that he worked in a deal with boxing promoter Lou DiBella to let “MVP” have a go in the boxing ring and Page did not disappoint in his Friday debut with a flashy third-round TKO.

It’s not Conor McGregor boxing Floyd Mayweather, but it is an MMA fighter stepping into the ring to box. Bellator’s prospect Michael Page made his professional boxing debut today against Jonathan Castano. It was only scheduled for four rounds, but Page got the job done in three. In between drunken Kung Fu, clowning his opponent, and dancing, Page rocketed long straights into Castano’s face at will.  #Boxing #JoyceLewison #MVP pic.twitter.com/n5tZ0EiZ9J

After being turned down three times, "MVP" says he will no longer accept fight with Paul Daley

Tom Taylor - June 12, 2017

Shortly after coming up short against Rory MacDonald in the main event of Bellator 179, British knockout artist Paul Daley engaged in a heated confrontation with long-time rival and fellow British striking specialist Michael “Venom” Page, who is often referred to as MVP. Given that this was but the latest chapter in an already well established rivalry, interest in seeing the two fighters duke it out is now higher than ever.

Russell Ess - May 23, 2017

Following a loss to Rory MacDonald at Bellator 179, Paul Daley charged after Michael Page who was sitting cageside causing quite the scene. Perhaps it was all just a tactical move for Daley to set up a fight against Page, and it seems to have worked as Bellator boss Scott Coker says he is all for the fight if the two English fighters really want it.

Scott Coker discusses Paul Daley - Michael Page scuffle, is interested in having them fight

Tom Taylor - May 21, 2017

On Friday evening, in the main event of Bellator 179, British bomber Paul Daley had the opportunity to spoil the Bellator debut of former UFC welterweight title challenger Rory MacDonald, and set himself up for a shot at the winner of Bellator NYC’s Douglas Lima vs. Lorenz Larkin title fight. Regrettably for Daley and his British fans, MacDonald was simply too much. The Canadian star locked up a choke for the win in the second round. Just moments after his loss, a clever Daley shifted gears and planted the seed for his next fight by engaging in a near-brawl with fellow British striker Michael Page in the stands.

Some six months later Paul Daley, another talented British striker, levelled Brennan Ward with a similar flying knee knockout. Having dazzled with these flying knee knockouts, it now sounds like Page and Daley will be pitted against one another. According to recent reports, Bellator MMA is working on a bout between the two venomous strikers for its May show in Manchester, England.

Michael Page blames 'negative' Fernando Gonzalez for forgettable fight at Bellator 165

Tom Taylor - November 20, 2016

Michael “Venom” Page – also known simply as “MVP” – has long stood out as one of Bellator’s most exciting young stars. Look no further than his recent, skull-smashing knockout of Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos for the reasons behind this reputation. When Page stepped onto the canvas with Fernando Gonzalez at Bellator 165 in San Jose, California, however, his reputation for excitement was dealt a pretty severe blow. In a performance that was reminiscent of Anderson Silva’s lackluster defeats of Thales Leites and Demian Maia, Page showboated, danced and generally failed to engage over the course of the three-round fight. Though he clearly possessed the ability to out-strike his foe, his refusal to put the pedal to the medal resulted in a fight that was fairly difficult to score – as evidenced by the judges’ split verdict.
