Dustin Poirier revealed on Twitter just this morning that a short-notice UFC fight with Nate Diaz is nearly finalized: “I’m not holding my tongue, it is Nate Diaz. I’m not going to say what card, I’m not going to say a date,” Poirier told Teddy Atlas.“He said something like, ‘Let’s do it.’ I said yes, now I’m just waiting on him.”

On the same card, the aforementioned Chris Avila secured a majority decision win over Anthony Taylor in their super middleweight collision – with Nate Diaz watching on from the crowd.

Nate Diaz has sent a message to the ‘Paul sisters’ after Jake Paul’s most recent boxing win over Tyron Woodley. Last Saturday, Diaz was in attendance for the ‘Paul vs. Woodley 2’ card due to the fact his teammate, Chris Avila was fighting on the undercard. To no surprise, after Paul knocked out Woodley he called out the Stockton native and now, Diaz took to Instagram to send a message to him and his brother, Logan. As seen below, Nate claims the Paul’s hired security to keep him away from them.

Jake Paul continued his rise in the boxing world with a violent KO win over Tyron Woodley on Saturday in Tampa, Florida. Paul was originally supposed to fight Tommy Fury but the Brit was forced out of the fight due to an injury. On less than two weeks’ notice, Woodley stepped in, and early on he had some success. It was a lackluster fight but in the end, it was Paul winning by sixth-round KO.

UFC President Dana White is open to booking a trilogy fight between superstars Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor. Diaz and McGregor of course have a long and storied history having fought two times in the past at UFC 196 and UFC 202. In the pairs first encounter, ‘The Stockton Native’ weathered an early storm from the Irishman before turning tide and putting Conor away with a rear-naked choke in round two.

Diaz has been campaigning for a fight for quite some time but many thought he would be holding out for the trilogy match against McGregor. Yet, according to the Stockton native, he won’t fight McGregor until the Irishman picks up some wins and shows he can actually win fights still.
