Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor went to war in the headlining bout of last night’s UFC 202 event in Las Vegas.

McGregor had a dominant first-round round and was able to drop Diaz on multiple occasions in the opening ten minutes.

However, Diaz began to mount a comeback in the late stages of the second-round and followed that up with a dominant third-round.

After five rounds of battle McGregor was awarded a majority decision (48-47, 47-47, 48-47) from the judges.

Diaz spoke to reporters backstage after the fight where he discussed some injuries he had going into last night’s contest. “The Stockton Slugger” also stated that he felt McGregor should have been penalized by the referee for “running”.
