So it turns out that Nate Diaz wasn’t actually training for a triathlon when he got the call to fight Conor McGregor on short-notice at UFC 196.
Diaz was actually on a yacht in Cabo with his good friend Gilbert Melendez when he received the call to fight from UFC officials.
