Nick Diaz and Tyron Woodley start their feud on social media
Immediately after Tyron Woodley knocked out Robbie Lawler at UFC 201 to become the new UFC welterweight champion of the world, “The chosen one” campaigned for a fight with Nick Diaz.
Diaz, fresh off an 18-month suspension for testing positive for marijuana, said that he isn’t in any rush to get back in the Octagon. Diaz stated that even though Woodley has the belt, he is the one that is giving him the shot at a big name fight, not the other way around.
Diaz took it a step further and brought up some history of their time when they were both fighting in Strikeforce. Diaz posted a link to a video of Woodley being knocked out by Nate Marquardt back in 2012 and said, “I’m sorry but why didn’t we fight in strikeforce ??? 👍🏽”

Woodley responded to Diaz on twitter saying, “@nickdiaz209 check your Facebook post. I reply if you can still read @UFC get your facts straight before you pop off.”
