What could Nick Diaz do that could be as entertaining as fighting in the Octagon?

Well, how about kicking it with Snoop Dogg on GGN News and talking about fighting for one? Here is a preview of Nick Diaz as a guest hanging out with Snoop Dogg on GGN News as the two talk about fighting and Nick’s history.

Nick Diaz vs. Anderson Silva

GGN News gives a classic into to Diaz:

Nick Diaz hits weed like he hits opponents—frequently. The 33-year-old MMA fighter and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt from Stockton, Calif., has won many memorable fights and several championships across competitions in UFC, PRIDE, Strikeforce, EliteXC, World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC), DREAM, and Shooto, but his toughest opponent is arguably the Nevada State Athletic Commission. (No disrespect to Georges St-Pierre, Carlos Condit, KJ Noons, Anderson Silva, or anybody else who could pummel us silly.)

Both Nick and Nate Diaz have been known advocates of marijuana and Nick is fresh off an 18-month suspension from the NSAC for marijuana. Diaz explains in the video that he didn’t event actually test positive for the banned substance.

“The thing is, I never tested positive and that was the verdict in the end,” Diaz told Snoop. “So in the end was, ‘You filled out the application wrong.'”

Diaz went on to explain how people were so active in getting behind him after he was suspended. Diaz credits the singer Cher for helping him get out of a much lengthier suspension term by retweeting the “free Nick Diaz” movement, which fans went as far as to put a petition together to get Diaz off his initial suspension of five years.

What are your thoughts on marijuana use in sports? Do you think that marijuana has any performance enhancing features for athletes, particularly in mixed martial arts? Sound off in the comment section!
