Norman Parke announces release from the UFC

While yesterday was in fact April Fools Day, lightweight Norman Parke took to Facebook to announce that he had been released from the UFC following his decision loss against Rustam Khabilov at ‘UFC Fight Night: Silva vs. Bisping’ back in February.
Parke, the ‘TUF Smashes’ winner, compiled a 5-3-1 record inside the Octagon during his 4 year stint with the promotion. He posted the following on Facebook.
I just wanna say a huge thanks to the ufc for giving me the great opportunity to compete at the highest level in combat…
