Aung La N Sang vows to “put on a banger fight” at ONE 168: Denver

The Burmese Python” makes his much-awaited comeback at ONE 168: Denver. There, he squares off against Shamil Erdogan in a middleweight MMA bout. This happens live at Ball Arena on September 6. 

Aung La N Sang has long been celebrated as one of ONE Championship’s premier stars. In fact, the veteran has electrified audiences with his captivating style for the past decade.  

Now he steps inside the Circle for the 20th time. And he is determined to deliver another unforgettable performance in the “Mile High City.” 

“Ten years, 20 fights, man. Put some respect on my name. But I’m excited, man. The best is yet to come, and I promise you that I’m not just saying that. The best is yet to come, and I’m going to put on a banger fight,” he said. 

But a tall order awaits the former two-division ONE World Champion in his next assignment. 

A world-class wrestler renowned for his dominance, Erdogan poses a significant threat to the 39-year-old. 

The Russian can control opponents on the ground, which makes him a takedown specialist. 

Despite Erdogan’s impressive credentials, Aung La N Sang remains unfazed. 

“I think he’s going to dictate where the fight is going to happen, but we’re gonna fight. And it’s gonna be a hard fight. It’s going to be a hard three-rounder, and I’m going to look to break his face,” he said.

Aung La N Sang possesses an ability to thrive in high-intensity battles.  

His penchant for engaging in drag-out wars often leads to dramatic finishes, whether through knockout or submission.   

With this in mind, he plans to draw Erdogan into deep waters. He wants to wear down his foe and secure a decisive victory in the later rounds. 

“I want to make it a hard, hard fight, feel every second of this, the pain and everything,” Aung La N Sang said. “I want to make it a painful three-round fight where I finish him in the third round.”
