Danial Williams vows to put Banma Duoji through the wringer at ONE Fight Night 25
Danial Williams expects nothing less than an all-out war at ONE Fight Night 25 on Prime Video.
There, “Mini T” goes up against Banma Duoji in a flyweight MMA clash. This three-round duel airs live in U.S. primetime from the fabled Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, October 4.
Williams, a veteran of Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA bouts in ONE Championship, has become known for his fearless demeanor in his matches.
Whether standing toe-to-toe with elite strikers or exchanging punches with dangerous opponents, he has always embraced the thrill of combat. This has earned him a legion of devoted fans.
The 31-year-old Australian may have an exciting style. But he has hit a rough patch in recent outings.
Determined to turn things around, he has been meticulously preparing for the challenge that Banma will bring.
“I think he’s got good boxing. He’s long and has a long reach quick, good hands. I reckon he’s got good takedowns as well from the two fights I’ve seen in ONE, and even previous fights as well,” Williams said.
“That changes it up in the striking and opens it up when the threat of the takedown is there. I think he’s dangerous.”
While he acknowledges the threat his Chinese counterpart poses, Williams envisions a clear path to victory.
He intends to push Banma to the limit with unrelenting pressure, forcing him to fight on the back foot.
“He doesn’t like pressure. I’m gonna test his heart out because when he knows his best shots aren’t working on you, I think he loses a bit of heart. So, that’s what I wanna test out,” Williams said.
Danial Williams targets highlight-reel victory
For Danial Williams, this isn’t just about securing a win. It’s about making a statement.
Despite having a resume filled with jaw-dropping moments, the Aussie striker feels it’s been too long since he’s added a new entry to his ledger.
“I would love to build some new highlights because I’ve seen the same highlights of mine. I need to get some new highlights out there,” he said. “So, I just want to be entertaining and just go for that finish.”
