By BJPENN.COM Staff - November 28, 2024

Three-sport ONE Championship athlete Danial Williams has never shied away from a firefight. The Aussie lives by the manta of high risk, high reward, and his clash with Thongpoon PK Saenchai next month has that written all over it.

Danial Williams

“Mini T” meets the Thai scrapper in strawweight Muay Thai at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Friday, December 6, inside Bangkok, Thailand’s Lumpinee Stadium. The fight promises to be exhilarating for as long as it lasts.

With a reputation for being an unrelenting puncher, Williams admires anybody who holds similar traits. Thongpoon also refuses to take a backstep, and that’s where Williams believes it’ll come down to the finest of margins on who escapes victorious.

“I’m a fan of [Thongpoon]. I like his style. I think we’ll make a good fight because we’re both risk-takers. So it’s gonna be a lot of entertainment for this fight,” Williams said.

“When he does throw, he takes quite a few risks with some big, big punching strikes. So he’s got some advantage there if we go into a dogfight. It becomes a 50-50, you know, first person to land.”

Danial Williams predicts knockout finish at ONE Fight Night 26

Danial Williams wants to earn his first win in Muay Thai in ONE Championship at ONE Fight Night 26, and he wants to do it in style.

The Australian slugger is planning to score an emphatic first-round knockout over Thongpoon PK Saenchai. In fact, he plans to arrive, score the knockout, and leave having sustained as little damage as possible.

“The ideal way would be finishing him in the first round. I don’t wanna take too much damage, but I know my style,” he said.

“I do wanna stand in the middle, and I feel that’s how I’ve trained to get it done as quick as possible. If I can get it done in the first 10 seconds, that’ll be awesome.”
