The 22-year-old rising star’s career is on an upward trajectory following his electrifying performance at ONE Fight Night 25 on Prime Video last Friday, October 4. There, he defeated Zakaria El Jamari in a flyweight Muay Thai showdown.

With a perfect 4-0 record in ONE Championship and two $50,000 bonuses under his belt, he is determined to maintain his momentum as Colombia’s ambassador in the sport.

“Of course, I’m the face of martial arts in Colombia, all the things I’m doing here against top fighters, because the fighters I face are the best fighters in the world,” he said.

“So if I’m doing this to them, of course, I’m the face of martial arts in Colombia. I work very hard for this, and I’ve proven it.”

“Panda Kick” was one of the standout athletes at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, but the fight was anything but easy. He engaged in a fast-paced battle with El Jamari right from the get-go.

While Estupinan launched his trademark rapid-fire attacks early on, the Moroccan striker posed significant threats. El Jamari landed several powerful shots that put the Colombian in danger.

Nonetheless, Estupinan persevered. He ultimately seized an opportunity to deliver a devastating left hand that sent El Jamari sprawling to the mat for the knockout.

For him, facing such litmus tests is fulfilling as it brings him closer to realizing his full potential.

“I get better and better with every single fight. I train really hard,” Estupinan said.

Johan Estupinan ready for next assignment

Although Johan Estupinan may still be reveling in his victory at ONE Fight Night 25 on Prime Video, it’s clear he’s eager to tackle his next challenge.

“If the company wants me to face this or that fighter, I’m ready. Whoever they say, I will fight,” he said.
