Nauzet Trujillo guarantees epic slugfest against Liam Nolan at ONE Fight Night 19
Nauzet Trujillo’s biggest focus ahead of ONE Fight Night 19 on Prime Video is giving the fans a match to remember.
The Spanish sensation aims to demonstrate the relentless style he’s become known for in a lightweight Muay Thai clash against Liam Nolan in U.S. primetime this Friday, February 16.
Trujillo made his ONE Championship debut in August 2023. His initial outing left him unsatisfied though. He felt he didn’t showcase his full potential in a competitive loss to Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong.
While there’s no shame in facing a top-tier opponent, Trujillo is eager to prove his worth in his upcoming bout.
“In my last fight, I didn’t fight using my style. I was on the back foot too much. My style typically involves me putting pressure on my opponent and bringing the fight to them,” he said.
With the matchup airing live to more than 190 countries from Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the last thing he wants is to disappoint the audience tuning in.
“I think this one is going to be a beautiful fight — a fight with many exchanges that the fans will enjoy. I think we’re going to blow the roof off Lumpinee Stadium with our clash of styles,” Trujillo said.
Standing in his way is Liam Nolan. He’s a formidable opponent who’s coming off a unanimous decision victory over Ali Aliev last month.
Nolan’s arsenal of weapons and experience against high-profile strikers could pose challenges for Trujillo.
Despite Nolan’s impressive track record, Trujillo remains confident in his ability to score the upset.
“He’s a strong and complete fighter. He’s fought against some of the best in the world, and he’s someone I respect. But I believe the work I’ve done is enough to beat him,” Trujillo said.
Nauzet Trujillo eyes statement win at Liam Nolan’s expense
With a focus on delivering an electrifying performance, Nauzet Trujillo sees a very real chance of walking out of the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium with his hand raised in triumph.
“I can win via points, I can win via knockout, I can win 20,000 other ways. I’ve trained to go to war, and I’ve prepared myself for anything that may come my way,” he said.
“Right now, the goal is to win. I don’t want to talk [about what I can do]. I’d much rather demonstrate it.”
